Amancy (Haute Savoie) – Multi-family building
The Amancy program (Haute-Savoie) is the first TimberROC® wood-based concrete multi-family building to be built in the département. Haute-Savoie Habitat wanted to integrate an innovative and sustainable bio-sourced construction solution, while guaranteeing optimum comfort for future residents.
Local prefabrication, carried out by R-Technologies (a subsidiary of the Cheminal Group, based in Viry, in the immediate vicinity of the site), illustrates the relevance of a short supply chain approach, limiting transport and supporting the local economy.
Construction principle used :
- Structural load-bearing walls (CS2) TimberROC® precast in wood-based concrete
- Wall-to-slab connection through concrete reinforcement
- Short production and installation cycle thanks to proximity to R-Technologies plant

The choice of TimberROC® wood-based concrete enabled us to test an innovative low-carbon solution. Thanks to local prefabrication, the worksite was fast and optimized. The economic impact remains under control, with only +2.5% on the overall cost of the project compared with a traditional solution, for incomparable environmental and comfort benefits.
