Aiguebelette – Bruno Bonnevie
Nestled on the shores of Lac d’Aiguebelette, this single-storey home embodies its owner’s vision of a self-contained, comfortable and sustainable villa. TimberROC® wood-based concrete was the natural choice to meet his expectations in terms of speed, performance and quality of life.
Construction was completed in record time: just 14 weeks. The material, composed of 80% wood aggregates, combined thermal inertia (to absorb the sharp variations in temperature and humidity typical of the Savoyard climate), acoustic insulation (for cocoon-like interior comfort) and rapid installation thanks to prefabrication.
Inside, the wood-based concrete has been left unfinished to enhance its warm, mineral aesthetic. Combined with the large picture windows, it offers a natural decor: the surrounding landscape becomes the living environment.
Construction principle used :
- Structural load-bearing wall (CS2) + Structural slab (DS1) TimberROC®
I wanted a self-contained house that was comfortable and easy to live in. With wood-based concrete, I found the ideal compromise: a lot of inertia to manage the local climate, excellent acoustics, and above all, an impressive speed of construction. Today, I enjoy a sober interior where the surrounding nature is the real decoration.
I wanted a self-sufficient, comfortable, and easy-to-live-in home. With wood-based concrete, I found the perfect balance: high thermal inertia to handle the local climate, excellent acoustics, and above all, an impressively fast construction process. Today, I enjoy a minimalist interior where the surrounding nature serves as the true decoration.
